More jails refuse to hold inmates for federal immigration authorities
The number of local jails refusing to honor federal immigration authorities’ holds, or detainers, continues to rise across the nation. You can read more about it in today’s L.A. Times, in an article written bv Cindy Carcamo, here. Alameda county stopped honoring the holds months ago, largely as a result of the hard-working lawyers at the ACLU.
